Apraxia Picture
Sound CardsAPSC Pro
Welcome to the Apraxia Picture Sound Cards app (professional version)! This app was created for individuals with childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) and severe phonological disorders. It is the very first app specifically created for the unique needs of the child with CAS.

Target Sound
Identification(TSID)
The child must identify the beginning sound or ending sound in a target word. This activity develops the ability to break words into smaller parts and recognize smaller parts in words. Being able to break words into smaller parts and recognize sounds in words is an important skill that is necessary for reading and spelling.

Auditory Word
Discrimination(AWD)
The child is presented with two picture cards that are minimal pairs. Minimal pairs are pairs of words, which differ by only one phoneme, giving each word distinct meaning. This activity builds speech perception and auditory discrimination skills promoting phonological awareness.
